Marketing & Claims Review

One certified product, checked across all of its marketing.

For a brand with a certified product whose marketing goes well past its own page. I read your certificate and the technical file behind it, check the claims your marketing makes against them, and tell you which ones the evidence supports.

What I check

What you send me, and what I read it against.

You send the certificate, the technical file and the marketing for one product. Your certificate and technical documentation already hold the information. My job is to make sure it is interpreted correctly in what you send: each claim supported by the evidence, in clear wording, so a buyer gets descriptions they can trust.

Packaging

The words written on the box to sell the product, rather than the regulated marking beside them.

Brochures and datasheets

Product brochures and technical datasheets, and the standards, classes and performance figures they quote.

Sales material

Sales presentations, product information sheets, trade stand copy, and anything a distributor or retailer is handed about the product.

Social and campaign copy

Posts, adverts and launch copy, wherever they describe what the product protects against.

What comes back

A verdict on each claim, and wording the evidence supports.

Each claim is read against the evidence that has to support it. You get my verdict on each one, and where a claim does not hold you get the wording I would use instead. What you publish stays your decision.

01

Each claim read against the evidence

Each claim in each item of marketing you send, checked against the certificate and the technical file behind the product.

02

A verdict on each claim

PASS: the claim is supported by the evidence as written. FAIL: it is not, and I suggest wording that is. ADVISE: it is supported, but I recommend a change and say why. The same three words on every claim, whoever reads the report.

03

Suggested wording where one fails

Where a claim goes past the evidence, I tell you what the evidence does support and how I would say it.

Fees

One price for one product's marketing, as it stands today.

The Review is bought per product, not per item. It covers the marketing you send me at the time of the review; new material later is a new review.

Included

in the £1,495 fee

If you are taking a product through the Launch Accelerator, the Review comes with it. The £295 above is the price when you are not.

All fees exclude VAT. You supply the certificate and the technical file for the product. Ten percent off with an active Advisory Retainer, £265.50. I check your claims against your evidence and tell you what it supports. I do not approve your marketing and I do not sign it off.

Which one you need

One product everywhere, or every product page on one website.

This Review follows one product into everything it appears in. The Website Content Review works across your product pages and your marketplace listings. Not sure which? Send me both and I will tell you.

Whole website? Website Content Review

Product pages checked against the certificates behind them, with replacement wording for every failing claim and full page rewrites bought for the pages you choose.

Does your marketingmatch your certificate?

Tell me the product and roughly what marketing exists. Two or three sentences is plenty. If we go ahead, you send the certificate, the technical file and the marketing to be reviewed; without the certificate and the technical file there is nothing to check a claim against.
